Each head features 4 rows of cutters for a total of ~32. Each cutter, or carbide insert in a size of 15mmX15mmX2.5mm, is solid carbide andwill out-last your steel knives by a good margin. Each insert also has four cutting sides so just rotate the one side that gets dull and you are ready to join again.
