Our lock system is the micro lock which results in a solid hold on your game. The 1x19 1/16 cable is smooth, fast and flexible but stiff enough to hold a loop. Some sellers have snares that form a loop for the anchor end. We use #11 swivels for a secure anchor and leaving the animal the ability to spin and not twist the cable. Many sellers don't use the swivel anchors but the cost difference is just over a buck for added assurance.
The 1x19 cable is often preferred by some over the 7x7 cable. The 1x19 is a stiffer smoother cable that holds a loop much better. 1x19 is more chew resistant as well making it ideal use for critters that like to chew their way out.
This is an awesome fast snare designed to take small game. It's 42" long, micro lock, washer, swivel, support collar, and of course floating Aluminum Stop Buttons for superior holding power. Just move the deer stop into your desired position and crimp or hammer it into place. Survivalists use this snare to take groundhog, raccoon and beaver.
